Elda

Okay name. Sure.

Character

Secretive and vague. Assumes all knowledge is harmful as a default with very few exceptions.
They will only share knowledge under the idea that who they're sharing them with will not tell anyone else what they had heard. Those who wish to know their secrets must tell no one of what they've learned, and if they do, they will be made to suffer for it. They must be dissuaded from saying anything more, after all. It could put people in danger if they do.

Design

Two of their three heads are shaded because of their belief that 'innocence' among the populace is worth preserving to the point of preventing them from learning.
Each of their three faces share one consciousness, and every statement they say is divided into thirds through each of them.

Nonsense

• They're not too fond of any of the ancients, really. Thama for obvious reasons and Irral through association with her. They see the both of them as examples of what knowledge will do when it falls into the wrong hands.
• At least, that's what they tell themself.


• They were at least as old as the oldest recorded humans, if not older. The knowledge they guard so dearly is knowledge of any spells from the Immortal Eras.


• The vast majority of the spells they hide so aggressively vary from harmless to helpful, but a few of them had a reason to be hidden. Among these spells was a 'vampire' spell which relied on other's fresh souls and shed blood. This spell is presently known as the 'Bete Noire' spell, thanks to Agate's usage of it.

Ellie Winterway

Her name is fine. I'm aware of the anachronism in her and her family's name origins but frankly, I don't care. Also, she gets to keep her last name because she's royalty.

Character

Rin's sister. She has a tendency of turning a blind eye to serious issues, as if expecting other people to solve them for her. This leads to Tod having to do much of the work required of her as a ruler. If course, he can't exactly make public appearances, so she often plays the more social side of her position. She says she'll get to facing issues head-on some day, but she doesn't seem to mean it.
She would like to rule her country with Reynard one day, if it's possible. When Reynard gets greviously wounded in the early days of the invasion of the Kingdom of Smoldering Flame, she offers him her soul, since she couldn't bear to live without him. This is marked as a tipping point into its eventual escalation into a more general extermination of monsters.
She had an interest in keeping Rin on the council for political power, but it didn't pan out. She holds some resentment for Rin for her weakness in battle because of this.

Design

Her cape is meant to imitate fox tails in its coloration. She has some amount of frostbite from being outside, just as her mother did.

Nonsense

• No real opinion on Roy. They hardly meet, but she tries to stay cordial to him when they do.


• Paints as a hobby, though she only seems to want to paint monsters.


• Close to the foxes to the point of seeing them as family. She's closer to them than to her own sister.


• Unexpectedly snappy, has a low tolerance for other people.

Erika

I based her design on her name. It means immortal, and so she's a lobster. Did you know that those things don't age like most animals do?

Character

Just some kid. Ignore that she's a giant crustacean. She goes along with whatever her group is doing at the moment.

Design

She can harness a bit of energy from sunlight- she's lucky she's not in a cave at the moment. Her eyes work almost like goggles, with her true eyes being underneath her outer shell.

Nonsense

• I bet you can't guess which part of the underground she's from!!


• Skilled in healing magic and has a strong shell. Joins Hugo when he decides to do Urban Exploration because she's much less susceptible to serious injury than he would be with his squishy endoskeletal body, along with being able to fix it if he does get hurt.


• She insists on using her massive stupid claws for everything even though she has a second set of perfectly nimble 'hands'. She does this because she thinks it's funny.


• Not being able to age as other creatures do doesn't make her a boss monster. One day, she will grow too large with a shell too tough to live any longer.

Character

Calliope's partner who she hired as a musician and stagehand. He's not quite built for it, being kind of a recluse if he's left to his own devices, but he plays well enough for her to bother with him despite this.

Design

Relation to music referenced with the bass symbol tail.

Nonsense

• Would prefer to dress in browns and blacks if given the option but he almost never gets it.


• Functionally a one-man-band, able to summon and play many instruments at once.


• Even though he can't stand crowds, he can't help but appreciate the attention they give him.
